Yosemite, we are coming in June 2010 !!!

I will be making a reservation, from 6/17 to 6/20/2010, for this cabin tomorrow 11/20.

Their cancellation policy is actually not bad. For our case, if canceled before 5/17/2010, the penalty is $50 booking fee. If canceled on or after 5/18, we will lose all of the deposit.

I doubt that we will cancel but I have to ask before giving them the credit card.

Where to stay?

How and where are we going to stay for 3 nights in Yosemite? I believe that this is the most critical item that we need to nail down first. With so many people going, especially some of them are coming specifically for the event, we can not afford to wait till then to decide what to do. Another thing to consider is the condition of the shower facility. I don't know how you guys think, but I know Anna will not go for camping. She needs a real bed and bath room.

Here are a few choices:

Build our camps ourselves in the park. However, we won't know if we can get enough camp sites for the whole group until mid Feb next year.
Stay in Cabins or Hotels in the park. Again, we won't know if we can get enough cabins/rooms until next Feb.
Stay at tent cabins or private rooms in "resorts" right outside of the park. For examples, Yosemite Bug. or Evergreen Lodge. The primary advantage is that we can make reservation now. I looked at these two places. The first one had lots of bad reviews. The second one will be having a large wedding party on the June 17 weekend.
Another possibility is cabins in Camp Mather. Rebecca will be checking for more information soon. This option is not applicable to us after looking into.
Another option is the largest cabin in the Redwoods in Yosemite. This is a 3350 sq ft, 6 bedrooms and 4 baths property. The cost for 3 nights is 2887.16, tax included, with AAA discount. This is the one I would recommend. We can prepare our food on site, in the kitchen or BBQ on the deck. We can hike in the trails in the park pretty easily. How do you guys think?
